US Infantry Weapons in Combat
Personal Experiences from World War II and Korea
The first thing that the reader must know about this book is that it is a gun book. It is not simply war stories, but sixty-five interviews with soldiers and Marines specifically relating their experiences with the US infantry weapons in combat during World War II and in the Korean War. The differing opinions of these men is fascinating. One man loved the M1 rifle and hated the M1 carbine while the next loved the M1 carbine and hated the M1 rifle. Based upon his personal experiences each man had his own opinion on the weapons that he had used during these wars and relates those observations to the reader. So much of what we collectors and history buffs think we know about the use of US infantry weapons in combat has been derived from two sources: movies and books. Some movies, like Band of Brothers are very accurate, others are not. The general history books of these wars rarely contain the in-depth details of infantry weapons that would be of interest to collectors. The stories about US infantry weapons contained in this book are the real hands-on experiences of the men who actually used them for their intended purposes. Once I began reading these interviews, I could not put the manuscript down. 5.5 x 8.5 , 235 pages, photos, softcover.

Specialty Police Munitions
In a real-world situation, the more tools and techniques a police officer has at his disposal, the higher his odds are of surviving and protecting his fellow officers and those he is sworn to serve. The firearms he carries are generally issued to him by the department after a careful evaluation of reliability, stopping power, and legal considerations. Equal care should be used when selecting munitions, but, sadly, this is usually not the case. Being a police officer is hard enough without having to worry about whether your munitions will perform in the line of fire or whether you will be reprimanded or slapped with a lawsuit for using the wrong weapon. Make sure that your department has the right tools for the job and that officers are trained to use them properly.

Submachine Guns
Ian Hogg
This handbook is an authoritative guide, by a leading weapons expert, to the world's most important submachine guns, from the Bergmann Musquete and Tommy gun of the 1920s to the innovative modern P90 Personal Defense Weapon. Born in World War I, the submachine gun came to maturity in World War II in the hands of Commandos, Rangers, Panzer-Grenadiers and Soviet Tank Riders. After the war these weapons were replaced by more efficient designs, epitomized by the Israeli Uzi and the German MP5, but at the same time the military adoption of short assault rifles turned the submachine gun into a weapon for police security and counter-terrorist forces.
